GRAMMAR QUESTION OF THE WEEK, Feb. 18th

Correct the errors in the following sentence:

Todays family day in Alberta and in some other provinces, but some people like it an few think it'll be better to have an extra long weekend in Summer.

Remember that there is more than one possible correct answer.

Today is Family Day in Alberta, and in some other provinces. Some people like it, but few think it'll be better to have an extra long weekend in summer.

Joey: Good apart from some capitalization errors.
Haifa: You have the right idea, now check the punctuation and a couple of grammar items.

Marg: Good, now check the punctuation:) Also note that the verb "like" needs an object.

Irena: Be careful with "few" do you mean almost none, or do you mean "some"?
