VOCABULARY, Sept. 25th, 2009

Vocabulary building is important for both reading comprehension and writing. Use the following two words (note the part of speech) in one sentence.

unequivocal (adjective) + intercede (verb)

The mediators will intercede during the hearing to make sure it is unequivocal this matter gets resolved quickly.

The police chief made an unequivocal statement to the protesters, promising to intercede with riot police if they did not disburse immediately.
