Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk as the kids were waking up on Christmas morning.
Anastasia: Because you say "as the kids were waking up," the verb tense in the first part of the sentence needs to be changed.
Santa had already eaten the cookies as the kids were waking up on Christmas morning.
Santa had eaten the cookies and drank the milk by the time the kids woke up on Christmas morning.
