1) At home today, many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver.
2) Where I live many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver.
3) I know many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver.
ANASTASIA: #1--good; #2--you need a comma after the dependent clause; #3--this is a complex situation--you have turned the original independent clause into an adjective clause while omitting the relative pronoun from that clause: I know many people (who) will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver. (see Chart 13.5 in the SB).
1. For the next two weeks, many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver.
2. While I am working this weekend, many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vacouver.
3. Many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vacouver and I will be one of them.
JOANNE: Nicely done--remember to use a comma in #3 where a coordinating conjunction separates 2 independent clauses;-)
1= Here in Edmonton, many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver.
2= Many people will be watching the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver by the time I get home.
3= Many people will be watching the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver tomorrow.
DANIEL: #s 1 & 2--excellent; #3--you need an independent clause added on here;-)
