GRAMMAR QUESTION, Feb. 1st, 2010

Correct the errors in the following sentence:

There were to much peoples at the mall so I was hurried up shopping, I was too hurried that the shirt’s I bought's not big enough and I'm having to return them.

Because there were to many people at the mall, I hurried up shopping. I was so rushed, the shirt’s I bought were not big enough and have to be returned.

There were so many people at the mall that I rushed with my shopping. I ended up buying shirts that were too small for me and I'm going to have trouble returning them.

JOANNE:You've made a lost of good corrections; now think about word confusion and punctuation;-)
ANASTASIA: Almost there--just one punctuation problem;-)
DANIEL: You've also made some good corrections, but you need to think about a verb tense problem and word confusion;-)

Let's try this again...
Because there were too many people at the mall I hurried through shopping. I was so rushed that the shirt's I bought were not big enough and now they have to be returned.

JOANNE: Better--you've sorted out the word confusion, but you haven't got the punctuation yet--remember that introductory expressions are set off with a comma, and you need to differentiate between plurals and possessives;-)
